The autonomous production module with wireless distributed IEC 61499 control demonstrates the benefits of autonomy by the asset location manifestation. The module is seen as an enabler of flexible reconfigurable production floors.

The demonstrator combines Iceblock nano-PLCs of flexbridge.se, EcoStruxure Automation Expert of Schneider Electric, and the battery powering and monitoring developed by Nikolai Galkin at the Luleå University of Technology.
