First UAO China Conference

A MILESTONE for Open Automation in China

The First UAO China Conference, held on October 22–23, 2026 in Chengdu, brought together industry, academia, standardization bodies, and the UniversalAutomation.org community to advance open, software-defined automation in China. Discussions highlighted the adoption of IEC 61499, the release of China’s national open automation standard GB/T 48195-2026, and UAO’s evolving strategy toward greater ecosystem collaboration and industrial-scale deployment.

A key milestone was the launch of the China Open Automation Ecosystem Cooperation Platform, designed to strengthen collaboration around standards, interoperability testing, talent development, and real-world applications, supporting the next phase of open automation adoption in China.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the conversations and collaboration.
Together, we are building a more open and collaborative automation ecosystem.
